Protecting Your Best Interests with a Divorce Attorney in Monmouth County

When you and your spouse make the decision to get a divorce, there are a number of different ways to handle the complicated divorce process. One way to go about divorcing from your spouse is through the divorce mediation process with a skilled divorce attorney. For the past 50+ years, August Landi has been using mediation to help people in resolving the various issues that arise in a divorce case.

Throughout the time he has been in practice, he has come to realize the benefits of using alternative dispute resolution in divorce. Although it may take several sessions to get to the bottom of the issues at hand, he works with clients to reach a desirable outcome on all matters.

About Mediation

In some forms of mediation, the two divorcing parties meet with their respective lawyers and a neutral third party known as a mediator. The mediator will guide the couple through all of the contentious issues with the goal of helping the couple to reach compromises. As your advocate, our firm works in an efficient way; he helps to identify and bring up the various issues that need to be resolved and weighs in to assist the process. Mediation has a number of benefits as an alternative to going to divorce litigation, including that it is easier to keep any existing agreeability intact between both parties.

Mediation can be used to resolve a number of different issues, including:

  • Child support

  • Child custody

  • Alimony payments

  • Guardianship

Mediation can sometimes be felt as a difficult alternative to divorce, in that it requires both parties to be able to communicate, negotiate, and make sacrifices. In order to help you and your family through the mediation process, our firm works with an on-site family therapist who can provide comprehensive emotional support.
